Multifaceted talent of Elena Terekhova has defined her whole life and career.
E. Terekhova started her professional career by entering the classical
department of State School of Choreography in Tashkent (choreographic
school at Uzbek State Order of the Red Banner of Labour Academic Opera and
Ballet Theatre named after Navoi). Then she became a student of Moiseyev
Dance Academy (studio school at State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of the
USSR) in Moscow and brilliantly having graduated (ahead-of-schedule) from it
for many years became the leading soloist of the world-renowned ensemble
Moiseyev Dance Company (State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of the USSR
directed by Igor Moiseyev).
Performing culture of Terekhova was always noted for professionalism, artistry
and bright temperament manifested in the best performances of outstanding
master of choreography Igor Moiseyev - "Jota Aragonesa", "Sicilian
Tarantella", Polish dances "Oberek", "Krakowiak", Argentinian dance
"Malambo", Moldovian suite "Joc", Belarusian dances "Yurochka" and "Bulba",
Kyrgyz dances "Yurt" and "Kyz kuumai", "Dance of Kazan Tatars", "Chinese
Dance With Ribbons", "Sanchukoo", Russian dance “Summer”, Ukrainian suite
“Vesnyanki”, “Gopak”, choreographic performance “Road To Dance”, one-act
ballets "Jewish Suite", "Night on Bald Mountain", "Tsam", "Evening in the
Tavern", "Polovtsian Dances" and others.
As the leading soloist, E. Terekhova performed in many countries of the world
on such stages as: The Bolshoi Theatre of the USSR (The Bolshoi Theatre,
Moscow, Russia), State Kremlin Palace (Moscow, Russia), Metropolitan Opera
(New York, USA), Teatro Colono (Buenos Aires, Argentine), Le Polais des
Congres (Paris, France), Grand Theatre de Geneve (Geneva, Switzerland) and
others.
Outstanding performing activity of Elena Terekhova was marked by high
government and state awards.
At the end of her artistic activity as the leading ballet soloist, E. Terekhova
continued her artistic career but this time as a teacher - a ballet master
graduated from Academy of Dance faculty of the Moscow University. Among
her students there were soloists of such renowned ensembles as Igor
Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble (Moiseyev Dance Company),
Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre, "Russian
Seasons", "Beryozka (Birch)", soloists of Chinese Opera and Ballet Theatre
“Guangzhou”, soloists of Nepalese ensemble “Sushila Dance Company” and
others.
As a consultant of International Federation of Ballet Competition Elena
Terekhova gives master classes in many countries of the world.

(composer A. Melnikov-Markatov, Nepal), “Tango Of Broken Hearts"
(composer A. Melnikov-Markatov, Nepal), "Cherburg Umbrellas" (composer
M. Legran, Nepal), “Gipsy Dance”, “Varenka”, “Cossacks”, “Skylark” (composer
M. Glinka) and others.
Revised by E. Terekhova in many ensembles, such choreographic
performances of Igor Moiseyev have been reconstructed as: Moldovian suite
"Joc", “Tatarochka”, “Mongolian Figurine” and others.
As a choreographer, E.Terekhova was invited to Nepal to participate in the
production of the of the Show "Live of Buddha" ( Sushila Dance Company
.Nepal). Also E. Terekhova as a methodist , has developed an adapted program
of classical dance teaching - "Sushila Dance Academy" (Nepal).
The education of classical dance teacher combined with deep knowledge and
experience of folk-stage dance received by E. Terekhova from great master of
choreography Igor Moiseyev, knowledge obtained at meetings with
outstanding teachers, ballet masters, composers, ballet artists from different
countries make her teaching techniques universal and choreographic
performances bright and unconventional.
